Ideas and things to change in unite

To the devs, and to everyone who cares about Pokémon UNITE:

Please, take the time to read this. Not just as criticism, but as a genuine plea from someone who cares deeply about this game.

I’m writing this because I see Pokémon UNITE losing its player base. I believe this game has so much potential, and I believe the community needs to be heard.

These are issues that, in my opinion, can’t simply be ignored. If we truly want Pokémon UNITE to have a future, we need to listen to each other.

This post is not meant to attack the developers. It’s meant to make them listen to the community to work together.

I’m speaking up because I care. Because I want this game to improve. Because I want to see Pokémon UNITE thrive for years to come.

Please don’t see this as negativity. See it as a community asking to be heard before it’s too late.

Disclaimer: Everything expressed in this post reflects my personal opinions and perspective.

1 — Where is the Chinese version?

Why is nobody talking about this? What happened? And most importantly: why isn’t it being made accessible to everyone?

The Chinese version could be a key factor in bringing Pokémon UNITE back to life. So why is it being kept separate from the rest of the community?

This is something that deserves answers.

2 — Why are we no longer at Worlds?

Why has the UNITE community been deprived of its ONE AND ONLY major source of spectators and competitive exposure?

The World Championship was one of the biggest ways for people to discover and follow Pokémon UNITE.

So why are we no longer there?

What happened??

3 — We barely hear about Pokémon UNITE anymore.

It feels like Pokémon UNITE is slowly being forgotten.

Nobody talks about it anymore, and the few creators and streamers who are still supporting the game cannot carry the entire community on their own.

The developers need to understand that visibility is not optional—it is essential. If nobody talks about UNITE, fewer people discover it, fewer players join, and the community continues to shrink.

We cannot afford to let this continue.

UNITE urgently needs promotion. It needs communication. It needs the developers to actively support the creators and players who are still keeping this community alive.

Please don’t leave the community to fight for the game’s survival on its own.

If you want Pokémon UNITE to grow again, action needs to be taken now—not when the community has already disappeared.

4 — Pokémon UNITE has a pretty bad reputation.

Some popular videos portray UNITE as nothing more than a rage game, contributing to the negative image surrounding it.

Whether we like it or not, this reputation affects how people see the game before they even give it a chance.

And this cannot simply be ignored anymore.

Pokémon UNITE needs a fresh start. Not just through gameplay changes, but through the way the game is presented, promoted, and perceived by the public.

Show people what UNITE actually has to offer. Give creators a reason to make content. Give players something to be excited about. Give new players a reason to try the game.

The developers have the power to change the narrative.

But that power only matters if it is used.

Because at this point, doing nothing is a bad decision.

Pokémon UNITE doesn’t just need to survive.

It needs action. It needs support. And it needs it NOW.

My Suggestions

I don’t just want to point out problems, I also want to offer some ideas !

There are many ways Pokémon UNITE could become more engaging, rewarding, and appealing to both new and returning players. Here are some suggestions that I believe could make a real difference:

1 — Allow Tickets to be converted into Gems

Give players a way to make use of their accumulated tickets by allowing them to convert them into gems, even if there is a limit or a conversion ratio.

Give long-time players more value for the resources they’ve earned.

2 — Improve the rewards from Treasure Chest and Prize Machine

Increase the chances of getting meaningful rewards from Treasure Chests and the Prize Machine.

Players should feel like their time and effort are actually being rewarded, rather than constantly feeling disappointed by low-value rewards.

3 — More collaboration holowear

Bring more collaborations to Pokémon UNITE!

Collaboration skins could generate excitement, attract attention from outside the existing player base, and give players something genuinely new to look forward to.

Give us more reasons to get excited about upcoming releases !

4 — Weekly Quick Battle tournaments

Why not organize weekly tournaments focused on Quick Battles?

They could offer small rewards, leaderboards, or even special titles. It would give players another reason to log in and keep the game feeling active.

5 — New maps!

We need more maps.

And here’s an idea: why not organize map-design contests every season?

Let the community submit their own map concepts, then select the best ones to potentially develop or feature in-game.

Give the community a chance to help shape the world of Pokémon UNITE !

6 — Educational content created with professional players and mains

Create a series of official lessons by working directly with professional players, high-level players, and mains. (Except comfey)

Teach players things like positioning, objectives, team composition, and Pokémon-specific strategies and combos.

This could help new players improve while also giving experienced players a reason to engage with official content and learn some more !

7 — A permanent selection of free holowears every month

Give us access to a rotating selection of permanently free skins every month !

Even if the selection is limited, it would give players something to look forward to and make the game feel more generous toward its community.

The goal shouldn’t just be to make players spend more. It should be to make players want to stay.

These are only suggestions, but I genuinely believe ideas like these could help bring more life, excitement, and community engagement back to Pokémon UNITE.

The community has ideas. The question is: will they be heard? I hope so !

UNITE TO SAVE POKEMON UNITE !

I barely saw this. It was buried under many non-Unite threads that were posted in the Unite section. That is not good.

However, I definitely applaud the positive intent of the op. Very good and well thought out.

My hope is that this op gains traction. Let's show our support, fellow Unite Trainers, for these ideas and Help Keep Unite Going for as long as possible and here's hope for positive changes coming our way! 👍

Too long... or I'm too lazy, so didn't read everything, but based on the bullet points I like those suggestions.
