how about: should I get unite or not?

should I get it if I have no one to play with?

I kind of desagree… I actually recently started after several years without touching it... basically from zero (f2p)... and I got to master easily without playing that much.

Unless your goal is to obtain all the Pokemon, it's perfectly fine to start from zero as a f2p player and still have fun and even play competitive.

It's a matter of trying and see if you like it or not, but I agree that it's better with friends indeed.

You can friend people in game or even from here, several members play it... but in the beginning friends don't matter that much... just play AI matches and see if you like the game.

Later on when you start playing humans who know how to play, that's when the experience is generally better with friends, but even then it's still possible to have fun alone... I play solo queue ranked too and my biggest annoyance are the Comfey bots... there's also annoying players yes… but I still have fun and great games.
