Well I would say by now our entire existence would have been threatened about a dozen times due to various evil organizations trying to use legendaries for their evil plot and only having their plans thwarted right at the end by some unnamed hero with plot armor. The citizens of Geosenge Town would be very upset.

Me personally I wouldn't want a normal life
I'm going to Galar, getting someone I'm really close to, and going on an epic quest with her
Once we're done we'll go to a region we agree upon, get an isolated home, and live the rest of our days together with our Pokémon happily

I’d have more motivation, but the world would be a bit more dangerous. Though, taking care of a Pokémon would be really nice.
