Hmm Fighting... a type that got off to a really rough start because of horrible movepool, horrible Special stats(hurting their coverage and making Hitmonchan notoriously weak) and had few options to start with(Gen 1 literally has five Fighting types, two of which you could only get via Fighting Dojo, one via Trade and the other two were meh, including one via Water Stone that wasn't really a Fighting Type).
Over 9 Generations, I think a Fighting type that has grown on me and has earned a place is Gallade. Probably best known as a Psychic type first before Fighting given it is a Psychic/Fairy type beforehand but it's movepool is really good, it's new Sharpness ability is straight up crazy and anyone with Sacred Sword deserves to be acknowledged(including the Unova Trio where this originated). Only thing holding it back from being used more is the Speed. Another 20-30 points and it'd see way more use. If it did, imagine a Scope Lense with Sacred Sword/Psycho Cut/Night Slash/Aqua Cutter with Water Tera Type. Enough said I think.
