A Pokemon...? GASPUH!!! A PLATYPUS POKEMON!?!?!?

Poor Psyduck! He shouldn't t need Pokemon-society labels to know he is what he is. He is Psyduck.

"I got your back, Psyduck! Your name is yours regardless of what "type" they try to squish you into!"

(Gotta show him love and support to so he knows it's all good even if he uses psychic powers without type permission.)

BTW, platypus has fur. 😐 Psyduck has Feathers.

Soooo.... per pokedex:

PSYDUCK:

• Red & Blue - While lulling its enemies with its vacant look, this wily POKéMON will use psychokinetic powers.
• Yellow - Always tormented by headaches. It uses psychic powers, but it is not known if it intends to do so.
• Gold - It has mystical powers but doesn’t recall that it has used them. That is why it always looks puzzled.
• Silver - If its chronic headache peaks, it may exhibit odd powers. It seems unable to recall such an episode.
• Crystal - The only time it can use its psychic power is when its sleeping brain cells happen to wake.
• Ruby - PSYDUCK uses a mysterious power. When it does so, this POKéMON generates brain waves that are supposedly only seen in sleepers. This discovery spurred controversy among scholars.
• Sapphire - If it uses its mysterious power, PSYDUCK can’t remember having done so. It apparently can’t form a memory of such an event because it goes into an altered state that is much like deep sleep.
• FireRed - It is constantly wracked by a headache. When the headache turns intense, it begins using mysterious powers.

Just because Pokemon typed him incorrectly, doesn't mean he can't have Psychic powers.

Look at Blaziken. He is not true to a Chicken/Rooster either. Doesn't mean he isn't one. 🔥😎🐓🔥

(The more they evolve, the further they differentiate from their supposed real life countertypes. That's true for many Pokemon)

Ahh this thread is too long... I'm way too lazy to read the whole thing 😅 I like Psyduck tho.

I would say neither, something in between... but if I was forced to choose one... I would go with duck. Mostly because it's literally in its name and even in its original japanese name too.
