guys! I just got my test results back; they want me to take another test. On the history test (in which I'm OG at history), I scored sixth place with a score of 1018! They want me to take a freshman-level (college) history test on Monday, but I don't know what to do. Those of y'all in college, should I do it? What's the benefit of this?

    Maybe you'll get college credits in advance or you'll get access to higher classes without having to take the prerequisite classes first? Saves time and money if you get to skip classes.

    You probably should find out the details from the school offering the test. They can tell you the benefits for taking the test.

    Was it an ap (advanced placement) test? I took one and passed while in highschool and then I got college credits and skipped classes/perquisites and got to skip the entrance exams to the university I ended up at.

    Okay, is this World History or US History?

    In my college they only made me take US History and they start at the colonization of America all the way up to present, discussing major wars, economic changes, important people of History, and our relationship with other countries

    But I'm not sure about World History...

    It might also depend on the major he goes with, unless he's starting as undeclared and only doing GE (general education).

    My advice is that if you know what you want to declare as major/minor to do so and start working GE units/classes in to your schedule as well as major/minor requirements/classes. Many times you can work the system so that your GE lines up with actual major requirements or at least the prerequisites to the requirements thus taking less classes as you go through GE.

    Warning though, if you don't know what you'll choose or switch majors, be prepared for school to either last longer or that you'll have to take a heavier workload/more units and/or summer and winter classes.

    I took as much as I could while working full-time but filled my breaks with classes too. Be careful of burnout. It's a fine line between pushing yourself to accomplish your goals and pushing yourself too far/hard.

    @Hades0918 @Dragonfly102024 @Lonestar85

    it is basically rounding up everything about the U.S. itself. (wars, 13 colonies, how the US expanded, basically everything that happened back then to todays thing). Does this make sense😓?
