My Ting-Lu EX ability has no effect on Forest Seal Stone Is it supposed to not work or is this a bug

It has happened multiple times and has lost me games.

    It's not a bug... like said multiple times in this forum Forest Seal Stone it's not a Pokémon ability.

    It's not a bug. Ting-Lu ex (note that it's lower-case) makes it so that Pokémon with damage counters don't have Abilities. In the case of the Seal Stones, the tool has the Ability and the Pokémon can use it. Since Ting-Lu ex doesn't prevent using Abilities and the Seal Stones aren't Pokémon, there's no way for Ting-Lu's Ability to interact with the Seal Stones.


    TCG wording is extremely exact.

    Boy, have I heard this question a lot. As TechHog explained so well, Ting-lu says that Pokemon with damage counters on them have no abilities. Forest Seal Stone says that the Pokemon V this card is attached to can use the ability on this card. Very exact. It's complicated, I didn't understand it at first either.
