    Only thing that goes up in flames is anyone who buys a cheap PSU(Power Supply) without checking the specs, or a Nvidia GPU from 4000 or 5000 series that has the 12 VHPWR connection. Would include Intel 14700k + 14900k given how they die but they don't burn the house down afaik.

    Ummmm... it's an old pc that was replaced from a previous employer. It's an over 20 yrs old pc with original components except for a couple of RAM cards that were added also over 20 yrs ago... TBH I didn't buy it nor do I know all the specs, but I'm sure I could find out.

    I had a desktop from 2010 with 2009 hardware(or older) until last year(February). First generation i7, just to give you an idea how old that is(i7 didn't come until November of 2008). Thing ran 8 GB DDR3 RAM(now on DDR5) and had an OLD ATI GPU that was replaced by a GT 1050(I think, may have been 1030… was super budget though given how old the Desktop was). Also an OLD HDD that current SSD's run circles around. Had a nice 1080p Monitor though that was still on solid condition.

    Went from that to 4k/240 Hz Monitor, 9700x(AMD) with 32GB DDR5 RAM and 9070XT(AMD) and 2 TB SSD. Night and day upgrade that I got before the RAM bleepstorm hit last year in October. My RAM kit was maybe ~$100 or so when I got it. Now it's like 4-5 times that. Which is just nuts.

    GPU price hasn't changed much. Was ~$800 when I got it and it's roughly $700 now due to supply/demand. The CPU has dropped by a good chunk though. Can find it for $280 or below it's price point, which is surprising. Motherboard is slightly cheaper too given how absurd their prices have been(notably at the top end). Prices on everything else look to be similar, including the Monitor.

    PC would cost more today than it was when I got it. Just crazy. 🙅

    Buy a PC instead, none of those games are that great anyways plus PC has lots of sales.

    For a PC get like an 8th to 10th gen intel (or amd equivalent), a late 10 to 20 series nvidia GPU (or amd equivalent), at least 12-16 gb of ddr4 ram, and a decent ssd for the boot drive (the other drives can be whatever you want, you dont want windows booting on a slower drive at least get a 256 gb ssd for the main drive and at least 2+ TB for other drives). The rest doesn't matter, you can convert a used office pc that has similar specs and is missing a gpu into a gaming PC as long as it has a pcie slot for it and also upgrade the psu to help out. This should be a good budget PC.
