Card images & deck searching

I've recently installed PTCG-Live on my laptop (Windows 11) after it became clear that this software just doesn't work on any system using Windows 10 (or older presumably).

After a few test runs the one bug I keep encountering is that card images don't, or really slowly, load during a match. This way I have to hover over each card just to read the text on it to see which card it actually is.

If that on it's own wasn't already enough to make gameplay impossible; whenever I use a card that prompts a deck search like Level Ball, Battle VIP Pass, etc. the screen switches to the search table but never displays any card visuals and prompts the message 'no valid targets', even though there are always valid targets.

All of the animations and actions also take a gruelingly long amount of time to complete and it's easy to miclick and prompt plays that you didn't even intend to make. It all just feels very sluggish and incomplete..

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I was kind of curious about this 'revamped' PTCGO but honestly; everything about PTCG-Live just makes me miss PTCGO enormously. :(

The game does run on Windows 10 and 11.

Some things you mentioned are bugs, like when searching cards shows a message 'no valid targets' when there are valid cards, but other things seem to be hardware limitations like cards taking too long to load all the time.

Do you meet the recommended hardware requirements to play the game in Windows?

    -4 GB RAM

    -3 GB available HD space

    -NVIDIA® GeForce® 240 GT or ATI™ Radeon™ HD 4850 or better

    -1024 x 768 minimum display resolution

*Because the game is poorly optimized overall you may have performance issues with the minimum requirements. If you don't have the recommended requirements do you at list meet the minimum hardware requirements?

If you enter settings from the home screen and reduce board animations, does it improve any?

Following up on my earlier post some time ago, I'm disappointed to report that the functionality of PTCGL has only marginally improved.

I've checked and validated the hardware requirements but certain bugs (such as Battle VIP Pass not showing any valid targets, or any cards for that matter, upon activation) still remain prevalent.

I'm sincerely considering getting back into the competitive scene and have already attended several tournaments and spent numerous hours playtesting IRL but the lack of a functional online client is incredibly frustrating. I cannot for the life of me fathom why PTCGi would trash PTCGO only to replace it with a platform that is clearly failing to meet the playerbase's expectations, expectations that were originally set based on their first online client, PTCGO, no less.

Now I, and supposedly many other players, are stuck trying to get some practice time in on a platform that is still incredibly flawed. It would be fantastic if PTCGi would properly invest in PTCGL in order to create a useable play platform where you don't have to force a shutdown every other game because it keeps freezing, not properly executing card functions/effects, etc.

    Sincerely,

    A dismayed PTCG player.
