How much does the lore/story of a Pokémon game matter to you?

It's the most important factor!
It's a mix between story and gameplay for me. Though story is the most important factor. It's why I play fangames. The stories are genuinely amazing, and instead of it feeling like a game it feels like a world. It's weird what a story can do for a game.

This I agree with (until the fan game thing since I've never played one)
Also, @UnovanZorua I agree with a lot of your statement

The option I would have gone with isn't there, I believe that the story is just as important as the rest of the factors and should be balanced to make sure it is incorporated as much as the rest.

Story is very important to have in a game but if the gameplay isn't there it just isn't fun as a game and treads into visual novel grounds, it is also true if the gameplay is great but there is not story to keep you hooked on the game it becomes boring. Visuals are subjective and depend on preference. I would say the most important factors are equally story and gameplay because they matter the most in terms of how good a game is.

It's necessary but other factors matter more
It really depends on the game type...

Yes, I was thinking about games like the TCG where the lore isn't that important.
