    Wow, the Pokémon content drought sure is leading us to plumb increasingly niché depths for new threads, huh?

    Out of interest, do people go back and watch the original series when they start watching Pokémon? Because that series ran well over 20 years ago. I had assumed everyone just started watching the most recent series, since Ash virtually resets anyway.

    Ash's Squirtle must have had a big effect on me, because despite loving dragons and dinosaurs, asking my mum for Pokémon Red and planning on picking Charmander, I actually picked Squirtle as my first ever Pokémon.

    I don't actually remember much about him now, other than the fact that he wore sunglasses and I think he got in trouble with Officer Jenny for some reason before Ash took him, though that might be me mixing it up with Yellow.

    Charmander pulled a ton of weight during Kanto, helping to win several Gym Fights(those that can argue Ash won that is.. ugh). Butterfree was released(never to be seen again until the final goodbye episode). Pidgeotto didn't win anything meaningful(Team Rocket don't count), only to be released upon evolving. Bulbasaur was ok but losses to Erika and Duplica didn't help it's case. Squirtle had its moments too but didn't exactly wow on the Gym Battle stage. Krabby was boxed until Indigo League where it evolved after beating Exeggutor. You left out Pikachu(Ditto Muk and his 30 Tauros) so basically it's Charmander or Charizard by default.

    I only wish his Pokemon would evolve though. Pains me to see Bulbasaur after all these years. Can only imagine how good he would be as a Venusaur. Ditto Squirtle.

    First one I watched then went back and finished it

    I've seen every session except D/P, which I watched at a young age but never went back to rewatch (I need to, though, I love his Infernape)

    Every episode for Seasons 1-8 is on Pokemon TV channel on YouTube. Season 9 is up to Episode 23 leaving 24 to go for Battle Frontier. No idea how long it'll take to upload them, much less how long it'll take to do Sinnoh, Unova and so on.

    Meaning if you have hankering for any episode from that era, you can access it easily. I remember early Indigo because I started with it and it has one of my all time favorites: Pokemon Fashion Flash.
