Shop Tickets Missing after Pulsing Aura Update

Prior to the most recent update, I had almost 800 shop tickets, and after the update, I seem to be capped at 600. I did some solo battles, and then went to claim my free dailies in the shop, only then did I notice that the ticket total didn't go up at all. Is this intended? I was saving those for the shop refresh in 2 days. If this WAS intended, what was the trade off for losing those tickets?
