Hmm a Noble Guardian. Interesting choice. Feel free to make selections on the rest of what I listed there. Took me awhile to type it and I don’t think I missed anything. If I did @clasingla can fill in the rest.

Made an error on Guardian domains. Fixed it but it’s Valor, not Grace. Valor is the Barbarian domain… Bare Bones… enough said.

For those currently or considering making a character for Pokémon Daggerheart, feel free to utilize the following Template(fill as needed).

To help you with filling out this template, feel free to utilize the following References to help you make your decision. Class Subclass Community Domain Traits Weapons Armor
Additional pertinent info to help you: There are 9 Classes to choose from(pick one). Each Class has two subclasses(pick one). Each Class has two options for a Class item that is listed on the Class page I linked(pick one). Class Hope Feature is unique to that class and is noted on the Class page I linked. Pick a Community or "background" that best represents your character. This choice can influence your character's backstory or origin(aka what they come from). Each Class can utilize Abilities or Spells from two Domains. Class page has the Domains the Class can utilize. You may utilize up to two Domain cards from those Domains(one from each or exclusively from one). In lieu of rolling for your Ability scores, we manually assign scores to the six Traits in the game(see Traits link for details). Highly recommended you assign +2 to the Trait that will benefit you the most. Your Weapon and Armor selection is entirely up to you but you must choose from Tier 1 options. Your weapon choice should synergize with your Trait allocation. Your Armor choice is entirely up to you. Your Evasion is based on your Class(noted on Class page) along with any potential modifiers(such as your Armor choice). Your Starting HP is dictated by your Class.
Here's an example:
Name: Katara
Species: Alolan Vulpix
Class: Sorceress
Subclass: Elemental Origin(Water)
Class Item: Family Heirloom(Necklace)
Class Hope Feature: Volatile Magic
Community: Seaborne(Southern Water Tribe)
Domain Cards: Rune Ward(Arcana) + Wall Walk(Arcana)
Traits: Strength(-1), Agility(+0), Finesse(+1), Instinct(+2), Presence(+1), Knowledge(+0)
Weapon: Dualstaff
Armor: Gambeson(+1 bonus to Evasion)
Evasion: 10 + 1
Starting HP: 6
Additional Background info: Katara's lineage traces back decades. It is rumored she is a descendant of the legendary mage Beira and comes from a small but close-knit family. Having grown up around Water in the Southern Water Tribe, Katara developed the means to bend Water to her will. Yet Training doesn't replace experience and hence she sets out to test her limits and develop her underlying potential.
+2 Trait recommendations(by class):
Bard: Presence; Druid: Instinct; Guardian: Strength(particularly if you go Valor Domain); Ranger: Agility; Rogue: Finesse; Seraph: Strength; Sorcerer: Instinct; Warrior: Agility(especially if you utilize Bone Domain); Wizard: Knowledge
Pokémon moves and abilities will be coming in due time once @clasingla figures out how to integrate them. Once you create a Character template above, then the process of creating a Character Sheet will be much easier to accomplish.

Thanks a bunch. First session this Saturday(6/13) or the following Saturday(6/20)? Don’t have anything that would require me to miss it unless RL throws the usual curveball. If I had to choose, I’d pick 6/20 to give ample time for others to join, create character sheets and to prepare for the first session. Like with D&D, I’ll be a complete newb to Daggerheart but it doesn’t appear to be a high learning curve save for maybe understanding Stress, Armor slots(which I assume is the Armor Base score?) and Damage mitigation(like determining the Minor Damage threshold… I have no idea how to determine that.. Major and Severe isn’t too hard but I haven’t found anything on Minor Damage and it’s threshold such that incoming Damage below it is ignored).

Didn’t you pick Guardian with a Stalwart subclass and Highborne Community? Leaves Name, Class item(Totem or Secret Key), Ability/Spell choices from Blade and/or Valor Domains(pick 2), Trait Distribution and your Weapon + Armor. Backstory can come in time.

Been reading some more on character creation. Seems we start with a few items. We get a Torch, 50 feet of rope, basic supplies and a handful of Gold. We can also choose to have one Health Potion or one Stamina Potion. Health Potion replenishes HP(1D4) while the Stamina Potion clears 1D4 Stress(which I’m still a bit shaky on). We also get to pick two “Experiences”. These are basically special circumstances where we get +2 to our roll after spending a Hope token to utilize them. Think of them as “Proficiency” in a D&D sense(feel free to correct me here). Here’s a list of possible options: Experiences For me specifically, I’ll take the Healer Specialty given that Katara was a gifted Healer by using Water and her magic to purify wounds and heal the injured. The other option I’ll take is a characteristic in Affable. Katara has always been a a person that you could approach and have a pleasant conversation with(which with +1 in Presence makes sense). As for the potion, I’ll take a Stamina Potion. Being a gifted healer doesn’t exactly cure exhaustion.
Also I learned a bit about combat(somewhat and again feel free to correct me!). Your equipped Armor gives your character Damage thresholds. If an Armor has a 5/11 value, it means it has a damage threshold of 5 for Major and 11 for Severe. You add your character level(in this case 1) to get an overall threshold of 6/12. Meaning you take minor damage for anything from 1-5, Major Damage from 6 to 11 and Severe Damage for anything above that point. Now your character has Hitpoint boxes, which for me is 6(correct me if wrong). If you take Minor damage, you mark one box. If it’s Major Damage, you mark two and Severe would result in three. The benefits of Armor though is that it can reduce incoming damage by one threshold. Meaning if you have Severe damage incoming, the Armor can reduce it to Major. Similarly if you have Minor Damage incoming, your Armor can outright mitigate its effect and you take nothing. When doing so, you make a mark on your Armor. Each Armor has a number of Armor slots based on the Armor’s Base score. The higher the Base score, the more Damage it can mitigate before it must be repaired. Not all incoming damage can be mitigated by Armor too so you have to choose wisely on when to use it. Namely if you’re getting hit by two sources, you’ll only be able to mitigate one.
