Every time you start a new game, you tell yourself you’ll use it.

And every time, you don’t.

What’s the item, feature, or mechanic you consistently forget about, even though you know it’s there?

I forget to do gyms in Pokemon Scarlet. For example, I tried to fight Arven but I needed to get stronger by fighting gyms before going into Area Zero! 🤣

Much like @Hades0918, I always forget about X boosts. It's entirely possible that they don't actually do anything. No one would ever know.
