Do you mean Aura Aura Climber, the digital-only game available on the Nintendo DSi and released on the 22nd of February 2010? I just searched it up and found a million results, with only an occasional mention of a different series. It has an entire Wikipedia article.

"Aura-Aura Climber revolves around a fallen star called an "Aura-Aura" climbing back up into the sky. It does this by slinging its arm around pegs in the sky. Along the way, the player can collect items like bombs and extensions. The different modes of play include score attack, and endless. Players also dodge storms, hit switches, and collect bonuses."

"As Aura-Aura you must try to get to the top without falling back to the earth, if you do happen to fall from a far distance up and you slam back to earth, you will lose a life, if you lose all three lives you start the level over. As you progress through the game Aura-Aura will encounter enemies, collect bonuses, and power ups like a grabbing extension which will allow Aura-Aura to grab objects that are farther away, and bombs.

There are three game modes: Tutorial, Score Attack, and Endless.

    • Tutorial mode is a tutorial which teaches you how to play the game.

    • Score Attack mode there are ten levels you must beat, and when you beat all ten you unlock Marathon, which is a combination of all ten levels. In Score Attack you will encounter enemies, collect bonuses, power ups, and bombs.

    • Endless mode is an endless level in which you have to climb as high as possible before the time runs out or you lose all three lives. In this mode instead of point bonuses there are time bonuses which add more time to the counter. There are around 30 medals you can obtain in Endless mode."

"Aura-Aura Climber is an arcade-style game where you control a star which has fallen from the sky. Your goal is to grab onto grapple points floating in the air, which lift you higher and higher. By pressing the A Button to grab at the peak of the jump, you'll gain a bit of extra height. You can also use the Control Pad to change direction as you climb upwards, allowing you to reach out-of-reach grapple points. Finally, you can drop from great heights to your advantage, as grappling as you fall past a grapple point will slingshot you back in the opposite direction. By mastering all of these techniques, you can quickly and skilfully navigate to the goal at the top of the level.

There are two different modes of play in Aura-Aura Climber:

    • Score Attack - In this mode, you must reach the top of the level with as many points as possible. Points can be earned by finishing quickly and collecting pickups.

    • Endless - In Endless, your goal is to reach as high into the sky as you can within the time limit. There are special pick-ups which increase your time and help you climb even further."

All three of the first three results that appeared mentioned gameplay. There's probably more I didn't check because I think the first three results all talking about the gameplay is enough.

It’s just weird there’s basically no sources on it

Like the goat ascension I can’t find any footage of it at all

And a lot of stuff in 3ds Nintendo games that got found out in the 2020s

There's also a lot of videos and reviews, including ones from when the game was new. I just picked the first no commentary gameplay video I found.

This took a little searching so I could understand what that even meant, but I found this. From context from reading a few posts I think this is what that means (I didn't know whether you meant the golden mode or max level, but I've guessed the latter after reading a few things). You're right about it barely having any footage, because I decided to search to see if there's more examples but couldn't find anything else.

I don't really think a statement from an important Nintendo person that reveals a gigantic revelation about multiple big and extremely well-known and smaller franchises' lore would be so much harder to find than a not very well-known mini game's extremely hard to get event in a not very well-known game in a not extremely popular Nintendo franchise, though. People care a lot about lore. A lot is actually an understatement. So, it's hard to believe it exists if it's this hard to find (I even decided to search again, and I found nothing confirming all Nintendo games are in the same universe. I did find an interview from Polygon where Miyamoto implied we aren't getting a SSB movie, though).

If you can find and show the sources you're mentioning, though, and they seem real and trustworthy, I'll believe you saying Rhythm Heaven is in the Pokémon universe. The one thing I need to believe it is credible proof.
