Will the "Leagcy" game option ever return to live like it was before the mobile re-release?

I was always more active in the TCG scene during the x and y release era and I really wish I still had the option to build and play with decks from the older sets like we could before this platform was changed to mobile and stuff. Like back when it was just a PC thing. I just really would like to use my old Breakthrough deck… and that I can use cards released before sun and moon. is this game mode ever going to return? What was the point of transferring over all the old card stock if it isn't going to be usable in game? Just curious, because I would play this game so much more if that was an option.
