The first Pokémon game I remember playing was Sapphire, but I never remember if I picked Mudkip or Treecko. Since I used to always pick the Water starter as a general rule, I think it was Mudkip.

I was very young when I first played blue back around 1999. I would not know which I picked first, but it might have been Charmander.

I'm a more recent fan, so my first starter was Popplio. I didn't look at the starter evolutions, otherwise I would have chosen Rowlet.

The first one I remember is from Gold, which I chose Cyndaquil for.

Tepig in Pokémon White. My only memory I have of it is being worried about using the fresh water the gym guide gives on it because it's weak to water.

I didn’t get into Pokémon until later in gen 3 with Sapphire. I picked Mudkip, and it’s held a special place in my heart ever since!
