Suzie: "Vulpix, use Fire Spin". As Misty watched in horror as a wall of flame comes towards her. She's burnt to a crisp and dies… Pokémon Indigo series continues without the Cerulean Gym Leader. 🤣
Not exactly but Vulpix and that Episode is seriously underrated. Pikachu and Geodude are both incapacitated from Koffing's Sludge so Suzie takes over with Vulpix and proceeds to melt the place down with Fire. Brock would take it under his wing from that point until many Episodes later when he would give it back to Suzie and Vulpix would gain prominence in the Anime series openings alongside Brock during Johto but as far as I'm concerned, anything involving Vulpix warrants more recognition. Even its Alolan variant with Lillie deserves more screentime.
Honorable mention to Ditto with Duplica and the House of Imite Episode.

Everybody always talks about the Ash VS Cynthia, Leon, Paul, Alain, but Ash VS Kukui is my personal favourite.

I was disappointed in Ash versus Leon because Ash got three gimmicks while Leon only used the one
Ash still barely won!
I still say Ash is weaker than Leon
If you mean Ash v Cynthia in D/P, I don't remember it
But Ash versus Paul I remember because it was at that moment I fell in love with Infernape
