Whenever People complain about pokemon without playing the game they mostly complain about the price, I’ve seen people say za should’ve been free-20$ including the dlc. that’s just dumb! The people saying that probably have the same amount of brain cells as the game key cartridge
Also I hate when people say “BuT SilKSonG is 20, It’s A ThiRd Of the PriCe”
yeh but it’s also a third of the budget

when people compare silksong to things there comparing the quality of silksong
silksong is an amazing well polished game that has been perfected to the detail with way less budget to make the game way less of a price asked for you to buy the game and you can put in dozens of hours before finishing the maingame (i have like 90 hours in it and I'm still not done) silksong proved you can make amazing stuff with way less budget and its just holding gamefreak to a higher standard with the production of the games costing a higher budget for something not as polished as silksong
though for price i feel like they should just keep it at $60 in no world would i expect them to lower their prices but i feel asking more for $60 on a video game is asking a bit too much

I’m fine with people liking Silksong (it’s really boring to me though, I think Metroid dread is better) I just don’t lie when people call it indie, it’s too big to be indie it had almost as big as a budget as Za, and it’s still considered indie (also where does the budget go there’s like three people making the game so they don’t have anyone to pay,) my main complaint is when they compare games like Silksong with basically the same budget as za to each other when one had like three times the development time, Plus za and winds and waves look better then Silksong, and they’re more original, Silksong is just a retextured Metroid game but it will get more attention because it’s indie and cheaper (even though it’s not cheaper because in order for them to make the game they need you to donate millions of dollars) like fnf to Rythm heaven, fnf is based of Rythm heaven but got more popular because, not because it’s cheaper Rythm heaven games where like 20$ back In the day (100s of dollars for a psychical now but still) Silksong is like that to Metroid it took inspiration from that game and people think it’s an original game concept and idea, and like it more and sometimes don’t even know the original exists, for reasons (mostly bad reasons) but, for reasons

I didn’t create a new genre it’s called a metroidvania for a reason, just searched it up silksong had half the budget as z-a and honestly has a better visual appeal I don’t like the semi-realistic approach Pokémon has been going for lately and the textures are absolutely stunning in silksong multiple layers built upon each other , it’s an indie because all the funds used to build it came from kickstarter and profit from the hallow knight game also have you even played silksong yet

I’ve played Silksong,
quit an hour in those games aren’t really for me
Also how does a game with a budget of 10 million dollars be considered indie, it’s just unfair to actually indie projects with little to no budget and popularity that just get overshadowed by: Silksong Tadc, Undertale, etc…
Also when I brought up them not making the genre what I meant was, they take inspiration from something and people play it without knowing the original, like fnf to rhythm heaven, there are people (admittedly mentally weird people) who have never heard of rhythm heaven, but play fnf, it’s not that bad for Metroid though

how can you say you’ve played them with only 1 hour in the game you haven’t even completed the game yet
And yes some really good indie games do get overshadowed by these bigger indie titles but these bigger indie titles usually help other to getting into and learning what there is in the indie space find genres they didn’t know there interested in and find more niche games they enjoy playing there is an indie game demo that I played relatively recently called twelve slot saloon it’s a really fun demo that takes around 4 hours to play and has a really good story and a very interesting save mechanic something I highly recommend (also made by someone who used to make really good pmd content so that’s also a plus) also if tadc stands for the amazing digital circus there are also way more other smaller indie animations that are good can’t remember any names exactly but I’ve seen quite a few that I like I know hallow knight, undertale, and TADC are like the big standouts but there are others that are equally as good that just don’t get as much as those ones

Its just boring to me, also I don’t own it it was my friends copy so that’s why i stopped playing
And speaking of not owning I just don’t like the argument “it’s fine to pirate corporation games but not indie games and if you disagree in anyway or have a valid argument you are a (disability slur)” That’s not a joke multiple people have said that to me, I’m fine with it though even though I am disabled

I never said anything about pirating tho the reason people say that is more so protest from actions the company themselves are making
I don’t know who you talk to you says that but I don’t think it’s cool to use disability as slurs saying I have a mental quirk (it’s not a disability it is a strength) in ADHD and autism
There arguments fall flat and if it was just “the company’s have been disregarding the community and basically treating us like we are just a bunch of lowly peasants” it would have more merit since there are some things in the gaming space that may make them feel like that (Ubisoft taking a game people payed for away from them or COD using AI or company’s focusing more on micro transactions instead of developing a good game or microsoft trying to put adds inside of games) there is a lot of reasons people feel like they wouldn’t want to support a company
I value ownership a lot that’s why I usually opt for a physical game instead of digital also why I started collecting older consoles to play the older games on and found some of my favorites because of that
I feel like the main argument for both sides is what and who do you want to support what practices do you want to encourage in the gaming space and what practices should be considered taboo

Well I’m a Rythm heaven fan and that’s one of the franchises where Nintendo actually cares about the fans (probably because it’s more nicher)
I also have every psychical Nintendo and PlayStation console (besides vb and cdi and famicom)
I only brought up pirating is that is an argument people make (a nonsensical one but still)
One of the reason I don’t like Silksong that much is the fans,
They threaten you, call you slurs, make fun of you, and more, if you don’t worship the game and the creators
