The Best Starter in the Kanto Region?

Personally my favorite starter is either Bulbasaur or Squirtle for getting past the early on gym leaders. I love Charmander as well but it is always difficult to get past Brock's Rock type gym. But what starter do you prefer for the Kanto Region? I would like to hear your guy's preferences.

    I started with Squirtle. It's possible to get past Brock with a Charmander, but you have to level it up to at least 12-13 and have other Pokemon on your team.

    Bulbasaur ends up defeating Brock and Misty easily, and once you get to Lt Surge, you’ll have other Pokemon to assist you.

    Easily Charmander

    Charizard is one of my favorite Pokémon and I don't like the other two
