I wish they would also make an AquaBlue

...also I never played FireRed/Leaf green and don't plan to. Anyway I am having more fun with Violet now anyway. Even trying to decide how badly I want a 0 Speed EV Blood Moon UrsaLuna(about mid).

I could see them doing something like that. Not with Sevii Islands, but definitely getting you to buy Let's Go PEE again on the Switch 2.

Perhaps it is because I never really cared for Pokémon Go beyond its original launch hype, but I am not convinced there is that much demand for more Let's Go games. I think the fad died half a decade ago, if not earlier.

I don't think they're releasing Kanto on Switch when we already have it in LGPE, outside of the possibility of adding it to the GBA emulator. Though I doubt that as Nintendo would be the one getting the money if people want to play it, and adding the original to the eShop would be shameless.

Were it any other game I might agree. But this is Kanto we're talking about. And if Game Freak never miss an opportunity for anything, it's mandating exp. share for a game that doesn't need it.

    But also Kanto pandering.

And for the 30th anniversary of Red and Green, I expect them to lean heavily into it. Even if we had heard nothing at all about it, I would expect some kind of Kanto related game to be released. My money was on them finally adding the Game Boy games to NSO, but if they are looking to push a new version of FRLG, than that would put the kibosh on that. Why compete with themselves?

I guess they didn't care about looking shameless. What was I expecting from the company that made M*ga D*mension (and C*rbeau (I think he embodies Pokémon's recent pure greed so I have to mention him. Especially because I mentioned M*ga D*mension, an overpriced DLC that features the same amount of content as PLA's free update and a story that makes SwSh's postgame look good, which features him in almost every scene and heavily in every part of the story for no reason but him being popular and a reason for fans who don't care about how blatantly he's written to be a fan favourite character before a good one to buy it. Seriously, they barely even tried and people went insane)). I'm wondering if I even should buy gen 10 at this point, knowing it'll most likely be a carefully calculated to be the bare minimum to entertain the average player and make millions from how little they actually care about quality that isn't surface level open world mess. I probably will, because I love playing Pokémon anyways.

Also, this franchise is the highest grossing in the world and worth over 115 billion. A pair of games from 2004 being free wouldn't actually affect them or their sales. Not everyone is going to buy these, so they're not going to make a good amount of money in comparison to new games, and this won't sell more merch (Pokémon merch is worth over 100 billion alone, which makes it the biggest reason to release new games, and therefore new characters and Pokémon and other things to sell, as often as Pokémon does). If they were free, people would still buy the newest games, because they're different games and because there's been major "improvements" like graphics and 3D and open worlds and the full-team Exp. Share and people even buy two copies of the same exact game anyways even if it costs twice the money buying one would and functions as essentially nothing but a second save file where 2 or 3 things are actually different (I'm guilty of that, and I know that I'll continue to be so), so they're not going to lose sales on the new games. They just want every single cent they can squeeze out of this franchise.

This is disappointing. It looks to be the bare minimum. There is no mention of Home compatibility, or even online capabilities.

The special edition on the Pokémon Centre Online website also doesn't look great. 20000円 for a download code, a fake box and three ornaments. It doesn't even include both games.

It's kind of neat for people who don't already own them or have never played them, but unless they announced some amazing bonus features on Pokémon day, I'll just stick to my old copies from 2004, thanks.

I heard Home compatibility will be coming. (I bet it will not be there at launch, even though it should be the obvious move.)

But everything I have seen says local play only.
