I could see them doing something like that. Not with Sevii Islands, but definitely getting you to buy Let's Go PEE again on the Switch 2.
Perhaps it is because I never really cared for Pokémon Go beyond its original launch hype, but I am not convinced there is that much demand for more Let's Go games. I think the fad died half a decade ago, if not earlier.

I don't think they're releasing Kanto on Switch when we already have it in LGPE, outside of the possibility of adding it to the GBA emulator. Though I doubt that as Nintendo would be the one getting the money if people want to play it, and adding the original to the eShop would be shameless.

Were it any other game I might agree. But this is Kanto we're talking about. And if Game Freak never miss an opportunity for anything, it's mandating exp. share for a game that doesn't need it.
But also Kanto pandering.
And for the 30th anniversary of Red and Green, I expect them to lean heavily into it. Even if we had heard nothing at all about it, I would expect some kind of Kanto related game to be released. My money was on them finally adding the Game Boy games to NSO, but if they are looking to push a new version of FRLG, than that would put the kibosh on that. Why compete with themselves?
