Was it just jigglypuff like the trailer? Could there be more adds or is it just the one?

I don't consider it an ad for Pokémon go even though Pokémon says it is, Pokémon go had nothing to do with the ad

The Superbowl is watched by normies.
For normies, an ad saying "hey, Pokémon exists and celebrities like it" is enough to get their attention and get them thinking about the brand.
You visit the official Pokémon forums. They don't need to do anything to get your attention or business.
Announcing a new Pokémon generation or anything significant to the franchise makes no sense. Japan doesn't watch the Superbowl, and they are the primary audience as far as Game Freak is concerned. A fair portion of Pokémon fans in America probably watch the Superbowl, they're two mainstream parts of pop culture after all, but most Pokémon fans around the world don't.
But now maybe some normies will start looking at Pokémon content again, or even check it out for the first time because a celebrity likes it. That will prime them (and, most importantly in 2026, their social media algorithms) to seek Pokémon content when Pokémon Day rolls around; the event that is actually for you, but also for the normie.
In short, you played yourselves.
