I’m pretty sure they can’t put effort in, because they have pretty strict deadlines.

I’m pretty sure a lot of the modern games have to be rushed so they come out faster, there’s a new game every 2 years and they don’t really have a lot of time to work on games.

Personally, I don't like the "pure evil who
killshurts people/Pokémon and wants world domination" trope. I'd rather a real, fully fleshed out character. Lysandre was unquestionably evil, but he had motivations and rationalised all the bad things he did, telling himself it had to be done (sure, XY's story was lackluster, but it had potential). Lusamine was going to destroy Alola and was an awful person in general, but she didn't even care about that— in her mind, as long as she had her Ultra Beasts, nothing else mattered. Team Magma and Aqua, though their plans were stupid in many ways, thought it was the best option for the future of people and Pokémon respectively. I want villains who are characters and not whatever Ghetsis and Giovanni are.4 -
Basically, People complain about Pokémon having a bad story, Pokémon adds a fully fleshed out story, People complain about Pokémon having A good story.

But this is what the professor saw as Paradise. The robot was the Puppet, but the professor was the real mastermind
