Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my message. I would like to share a request regarding the Hoenn region. Pokémon Emerald is a very special game to many fans, and I believe a modern remake or updated version would be incredibly meaningful. The story, characters, and unique elements of Emerald still stand out today, and I would love to see them reimagined for a new generation.

Thank you for continuing to create experiences that bring joy to players around the world.

I’m curious what everyone thinks about the Battle Frontier specifically — would you want it remade exactly as it was, or redesigned?

that would make it cool for old fans and I would like it if they did not make the remake for a cash grab like BD/SP but used actual effort. not unless they read my comment and actually do it.

I personally really dislike Hoenn, so I am not too fussed about an Emerald remake. (Then again I don't want modern Game Freak to put their grubby mitts on games I actually like, so maybe that is better for me.)

But I doubt we are going to get third versions anymore. Pokémon fans have already demonstrated they will buy both versions AND the DLC FOR EACH VERSION on top of that. A remake of Emerald as a single game would just be leaving money on the table in their eyes, when they could remake Ruby and Sapphire again and double dip.

ORAS did include some Emerald content, but key features like the Battle Frontier were removed, as I suspect they think online play serves as a superior replacement for single player features like that with much less work.

Also "children have smartphones" or something.

Given how (relatively) recent ORAS was, I doubt we are going to see a new gen 3 remake for a while. Maybe if the next Legends game is in Hoenn or something. But honestly I expect gen 5 before that happens (my poor beloved).

I actually agree with that ORAS did come out in 2014 it probably will not come out in like another decade or so. They did have legends arceus and BD/SP at very similar timeframes.

didn’t grow up playing the original Hoenn games, but I learned about the region through the Pokémon anime first. May was the character who introduced me to Hoenn, so I got curious about which games she came from. At first I only knew the older GBA titles existed, but the art style didn’t match the version of May I recognized. Later I discovered the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire artwork and realized that was the modern game version of her. That’s how I learned about Hoenn and its games — through the anime first, and then through the updated ORAS designs.
