How does the Pokemon Unite Matchmaking even work?

The Pokemon unite matchmaking is… strange, to say the least. I sometime can get the best Pokemon unite players like ever, then at the same time, I can get Azumarills with leftovers and scoreshield.

I don't understand the matchmaking at all and why its so horrible.

(I am a masters player, who's been playing since like espeon released)

I have 12k games played and made it to masters solo every season since 1 and they consistently match me with people who have never made it to masters. It is beyond illogical, it is actively insipid
