How does gravity truly function? I think its all the air that is pushing down on us. Because on the moon there is little atmospere so you could jump higher.

Gravity is the fact that any two objects have a force between them. Extremely large objects have more force and the closer you are to those objects the more they will pull on you. Now even though we technically have a force of gravity between us the earth is so large it takes the whole system over and pulls us to it. There being no extremely close planets in space is why there is no gravity in space an the fact that the moon is smaller is why there is less gravity on the moon.

I know that you said the real reason but I was stating what I thought.

…I would answer you but that could spark an odd discussion.

@Hades0918 he is right this could quickly turn to a creationist vs evolutionist debate which is something I do not want to have.

Oh...
Yes, I'm not trying to start a religious argument, either
Creationists believe everything was made in seven days by God
Now, for evolutionists, I've only ever heard that for Christians that think that was figurative and accept the science answer of evolution and the natural process of the Earth being made over time
However, I'm sure that it can refer to non-Christians that believe in the scientific answer
Either way, though, it could start something big that I hasn't considered

Yeah it isn’t a fun topic. Also there are long earth creationists who believe that the 7 days were figurative but that a creational period was far longer than that.
