Lida and Ange take a seat at Nouveau and make an order. Ange feels like Grisham and Griselle are watching her, but she ignores it, more interested in talking to the dancer. "So tell me, and be honest. How was my drumming?"
Lida chuckles. "Well, you can tell you're new to it," she says. Ange may have not or been here long, but she could tell that was a gentle way of saying bad. She sighs.
"Then why'd you dance to it," she asks. "If it was bad then why indulge?"
"Because it was fun," Lida responds with a smile. "You were enjoying yourself and it shows in the music. I wanted in on it!"
Ange chuckles. "I bet I looked like a fool," she says, surprised when Lida shakes her head."
"You looked like you were having fun," the other girl says. "And why care what others think? As long as you're happy, that's all that matters!"
Ange nods. She's so different than the others, she thinks as she stares at Lida. Like Taunie.
"You're order," Griselle states, placing their cups on the table. As she walks away, Ange notices the glare she gives her.
Ange and Lida sit in silence for a bit, enjoying their drink. Ange builds up the courage to say something. "Why do you like humans?"
Lida tilts her head. "I'm sorry, what?"
"Why do you like humans," the heterochrom repeats. "All they do is destroy and conquer, causing chaos and destruction. You're not like that, though, but yet you still protect them. Why?"
Lida thinks about this for a second. "I think you're stereotyping too much," she says after a bit. "You assume that because one person is bad, everyone is. However, that's the same as saying that because one apple is rotten, the whole harvest is. Instead, think of it as for every one bad apple, there are ten good ones."
Ange nods along. She thinks she understands. Even though there are bad people, there are still good ones, too. She's not completely sure that was the message, though. The apples made it confusing.
The two sit in silence after that, drinking their coffee. "Ready to go," Lida asks once they finish their drinks.
"Yeah," Ange says happily, following the other girl back to the hotel.
I may be breaking the schedule
Next will be Paxton talking to Naveen, which will then lead to sewing
After that we need to have Grisham talk to Mable
