Why is mega blaziken so OP?

so you're gonna tell me that dealing the same damage as mega gyarados for half the energy is even remotely balanced?!?!!

this card is so frustrating, how in the world does it only need 2 energy for 120+20 damage and a lasting burn?! if it would at least lose 2 energy or need 3 or have some other restriction then OK, but as is it will KO mega gyarados every time on a level playing field even though it's weak to it. these megas are honestly game-breaking. why on earth would i ever use a normal EX deck now? it makes almost every other card insignificant in a game where collecting and using different cards for different strategies is the entire purpose. power creep on a massive scale, makes battles nothing but frustrating. please balance these mega cards

ideas for balancing:

-only one mega per player per game

-make megas an evolution step above the last normal stage like in the rest of pokemon (eg. needing to play blaziken first, then mega blaziken)

-more balanced energy requirements

-higher weakness damage boost

-retreat cost higher than attack (makes you consider switching it in more carefully)

It's a top deck sure, but isn't that broken... are you forgetting how popular Suicune (water) decks are?

And as a Stage 2, Mega Blaziken ex faces some consistency issues, and even worse with Mega Rising and Chingling’s Jingly Noise shutting down Rare Candy. Also as a "Mega ex", losing it means losing the game outright.
