Should I combine Mega Feraligatr ex with Dragapult ex?

Mega Feraligatr ex (Ascended Heroes) can do up to 400 damage if your opponent's Active Pokémon took damage before. To make each of your opponent's Pokémon (including Tera ones, there will be more in Ascended Heroes) takes damage, we need Dragapult ex (Twilight Masquerade or Prismatic Evolutions), right?

However, I have too many strategy concerns for that combination, so should I use that combination? If yes, which card(s) should I combine with them? Thanks in advance!

There are other more consistent ways to damage the opponent’s Pokemon, building up a Dragapult ex mainly for that reason seems very clunky. You will also struggle with energies specially Feraligatr's...

Not saying you shouldn't build the deck, it could be a fun to play experimental build, but for sure far from being a top tier meta deck.
