Is This Game Actually Fair?
Why does it feel like the chance of flipping tails is way higher than heads? For example, when I use Misty, I get tails over 90% of the time, and even when I do hit heads, it’s almost always just one. Is this really normal?

It certainly can feel like the chances are off sometimes. A few weeks ago when I was playing versus battle the game gave me a very unprobable number of heads - mind you by that time I was already winning - my guzzlord flipped heads 14 times in a row - I checked and the probability of that is over 1 in 16 000.

I don't know witch algorithm they use, but I'm absolutely sure isn't 50/50. Tails comes out significantly more often.

@Backpackemon It always feels like this game works the same way: heads only show up when they don’t matter, and when you actually need them, they’re nowhere to be found.

@DoubleCure I agree with what you said—at least that’s exactly how it happens to me. I just flipped six coins for Celebi’s attack. Guess what? Six tails. I honestly don’t know what’s wrong with this game.

Some coin flip based cards seem weighted. Misty seems like a 30h/70t flip and hits more probably when played on weaker pokemon (magikarp) versus stronger ones (gyarados, articuno, etc).
Some cards however have a very favorable flip like Tinkaton which seems to be like a 60-70h/30-40t, but the challenge is to get that card out in to play. The developers are probably taking those scenarios into consideration.
Also, unsure if there is some technique in the flip mechanic as I've had better luck with a slight flick on misty.
I once got 600 damage with Lickitung (10 flips x 60 damage).1 -
