Ruining this game

Something seriously needs to be done about how cards are dealt! This has been my number 1 ongoing issue with live!

It has aggravated me so much that i stop playing. Wont play for a week or days. When i decide to play some matches, its right back to same stupid problem. Cant convince me this isnt an issue with the search engine or whatever is used to deal cards.

Can have a deck of all basic pokemon! But somehow i keep taking mulligans over an over again.

Recently i put psyduck into few of my decks to counter the CONSTANT matches against dragopult. Just 1 copy. But then every match after that, im dealt psyduck to start with as my only pokemon. For real! The single copy of psyduck is all i get 4 matches in a row!! An then its energy an some other items i cant do anything with smh. Thats just one example!! This happens constantly! Dealt 1 pokemon an thats it. Usually whatever i have 1 copy of.

Go in the trainer grounds an play some matches. Using a water type deck i made. And 6 matches in a row!!! 6!! Im dealt tympole to start. Like come on! No trainers! Just energy an other random cards i have. By the time i get anything down to actually do something its to late.

I end up building my deck an it just doesnt seem to matter. But its aggravating that i feel like i have to remove some cards from my deck becuz i constantly get dealt them to start with.

Just feel like something could be done to change this. Im a long time player of live an in real life. I know what its like to brick an have bad matches. But its different on live.

At this point I've experienced what you described too many times and defenetly the way they programed it is horrible.

I say this specially because in TCG Online this situations didn't occurred this often… in TCG Live it's too much to be just coincidence.

again, reasons why I am walking away for a bit

it's just no longer fun, it's frustrating because no matter how good the deck is…you can still lose because the game botches your draws

Taking mulligans and then the pokemon you get to start with ends up having all its evolutions locked in prize cards smh. And sometimes you get a decent match an can enjoy it. But its just to much going through so many ridiculous matches before getting 1 good one.

Just came back to Pokemon TCG online after several years off… only to realize its been changed to Live and it absolutely is ruined. I'm not even referring to the draws, yes seem to have lost some games already because there isn't anything I can do with bad draws. I went 4 turns with 0 energy cards lol

But no everything about Live has ruined TCG Online!!! Even the training battles are awful. They were a fun way to learn and help teach others about the different types, now training battles are ruined. Building a deck is ruined. They are forcing everyone to start collecting a whole new set of cards now because everything has to be Mega ex.

Honestly I think they should experiment with expanded or standard formats that have more than 60 cards in a deck, something more like 80 cards, or even 120 or 180 card decks for the fun of it. The 60 card cap reduces creativity, sidelining some unique and creative decks which are so tight on space that they cant be optimized any further and also leads to the fate of the match being determned by what is locked up in the prizecards. If you had essentially two decks in one with some extra cards for draw power then it wouldnt matter as much what was locked in your prize cards because you would have more options to play around it. Bigger decks would suffer from not drawing the cards you want, so potentially longer setup times, but they would have the upside of having more options for counter play and would be more resistant to mill decks, it would make the process of reducing the card count something that in not a necessity but part of optimization. Over all I think we should at least have the option to experiment with decks that have a larger card cap in a multiplayer expanded format just to see what happens. The 60 card deck limit was established in 2007 because someone had a 2222 card deck which took too much time to shuffle, so they decided that 60 cards was roughly the amount that most functional decks used, But that was in 2007, and it makes literally 0 sense to have this same rule apply to the current expanded format, which has tons more cards and unique strategies which have to cram themselves into a tiny 60 card deck which completley nueters more than half of the possible decks.
