do groups in the forums matter?

i joined a group and noticed there was not actual benefit. am i just missing something, or are groups just useless?

It's kind of useless, people prefer other platforms for that propose like discord, that does it much better.
This community forum it's more about update anouncements (few tho), bug reporting and suggestions.
