iPhone version gets too hot, slows down, crashes

The thing that excited me most about playing PTCG Live – playing on my mobile phone – is now the thing that will probably stop me from ever playing this game again. Even though I used Low Power Mode, the game grows increasingly slow the more I play matches and will eventually crash. This becomes even more frustrating when victory is a mere click away, but the game gives out and crashes. Perhaps I wouldn't care so much about this if it doesn't count as a match loss. It is already frustrating enough in ranked mode for obvious reasons, but since the game also tracks your wins/losses it affect your stats, too. I've given PTCG Live a lot of slack, but these game performances are wretched.

I cannot stress this enough: PTCG Live IS NOT USEABLE on iPhone in its current state. It demands so much power and ends up compromising games. Game losses due to faulty hardware are bad enough, but the slow performance (which ultimately increases the iPhone's temperature so much that the device has to prompt the user of the high heat) is getting out of hand when even deck building is so unbearably laggy. Again, like PTCG game matches, the app will inevitably crash.

At this point, I don't know what is causing the game to slow down so much. Perhaps an option to cut down on the amount of animations would help in this regard. Truthfully, I just want to play the game. The flashy animations are not to the point where they're distracting, but if they're slowing down the game this much I would argue they are, at the very least, unnecessary. I'm honestly surprised by the lack of settings options. I can 1) turn down the music and the sound effects, 2) choose a language or 3) delete my account. That's it.

In all honesty, I want this game to succeed. But there are glaring issues when it comes to even running the game on mobile. If it drains 15-20 percent of my battery every match, makes my phone feel like its been left out on the dashboard during a hot summer evening and crashes mid-game, why on earth would I want to play this? Is anyone else experiencing this??
