Well, there was interest... Smash Bros Story prolouge!

Mushroom Kingdom. Toads gather around a giant statue covered in a cloth. Mario stands proudly in front of it and fist bumps Luigi silently. They’ve spent weeks on this project, and now Princess Peach herself is about to reveal it. Toad waves to Mario from atop Yoshi. “Can’t wait!” he cries, almost falling from Yoshi’s back as he takes off to find food. The Princess comes out. “Everyone, we are here to reveal a work of the Super Mario Brothers…”
Green Hills. Sonic the hedgehog zips through loop-de-loops and bounces off a spring. “Life just doesn’t get better than this, huh?” He reaches up, and Tails catches him. “Would you slow down for ten seconds?” Sonic laughs. “Maybe if I’m sleeping! Hey, check that out.” He points toward a town in the distance. A gang of badniks is attacking the place. “Hope they won’t mind me lending a hand…”
Planet Popstar. Kirby and Bandana Dee share a massive cake that looks like a mini house. “Isn’t that going to give you two stomach-aches?” Elfilin asks, but Kirby and Bandana Dee are already chowing down. Elfilin sighs. “Do you two even listen to a word I say?” Kirby wipes some frosting off his face. Bandana Dee collapses backward, clutching his stomach. Elfilin snorts. “Told you. Hey, what’s Meta Knight doing up there? Seems like he’s on edge…”
Castle Town in Hyrule. Link trains on a hay training dummy of a bokoblin, slashing it with the Master Sword as Zelda watches him. Somewhere in the past, Wolf Link tears at Shadow Beasts, knocking them back. Midna snickers. Even further, Young Link and Navi dash through Hyrule Field. “Hey, does something feel… wrong? Link? HEY! LISTEN!” Out on the Great Sea, Toon Link sails with Tetra. “Still no sign of that ship…” Tetra sighs. Then she glances up. “Hey, seagulls! We’re getting close to an island…”
Kanto. A Squirtle drenches a Rattata as an Ivysaur cuts down a thin tree. A Charizard watches the both of them, then turns to his Trainer. A Lucario crushes a boulder in rage. A Greninja and a Incineroar clash against each other. The total of six appears to belong to one Trainer, who stands in the middle. “Squirtle, Hydro Pump! Ivysaur, Razor Leaf! Charizard, Flamethrower! Lucario, Aura Sphere! Greninja, Water Shuriken! Incineroar, Fire Punch!” He turns to the sky. “Hey, you’re finally here…”
Glade of Dreams. Rayman is having a sort of picnic with the Teensies. He has a plunger gun at his side, but isn’t ready to use it. One Rabbid keeps sneaking up behind Rayman, snatching food, then running before Rayman can do anything. Rayman snickers at the Teensies. “Y’all get hungrier than I realized. Finally, everything is normal…”
Pokémon Square. A Pikachu dashes through the streets, avoiding other Pokémon. “Pika! (Hurry UP, Eevee! We’ve gotta get to Pelipper Post Office before someone else takes the good jobs!)” Eevee dashes behind him, panting. “Vee… Vee… (Don’t you… ever stop… running?)” The two reach the post office, and Pikachu pulls a post off. “(Help, I’m trapped on the bottom floor of a dungeon…)”
Metroid. Samus dashes through a ship with alarms blaring. She charges her blaster arm, then says into a sort of communication device on her arm, “So, Ridley’s here. Shame he found me first…”
Across all these worlds and more, a rift opens.
Mario dashes towards Luigi as both are sucked toward the portal, grasping for his hand.
Sonic tries to speed his way away but is stopped when he leaps for Tails, crying out for help.
Kirby watches angrily as his cake flies into the rift, then runs as it sucks him toward it too.
Zelda cries out for Link. Midna tries to ground herself. Young Link reaches for Navi. Toon Link’s eyes get huge.
The Pokémon Trainer returns his Pokémon only to have them fly from his hands and away.
Rayman grips the grass until a Rabbid slaps his hand, laughing until they both go flying.
A rock hits Eevee’s head as Pikachu lunges for his partner. His scarf flies off as his paw almost grabs hers.
Samus clashes with Ridley as both get dragged into the rift.
Across other worlds, the same is happening. Ness and Lucas try to defend themselves. Mega Man tries to fly away on Rush. Pac-Man ‘waka-waka’s for his life. Captain Falcon’s car just isn’t fast enough. Cloud tries to hold himself down with his sword. Pit’s wings just don’t flap that hard. In space Fox tries to outmaneuver it. Hero tries to keep himself down with his sword. Two Inklings try to swim away as squids. A Villager shakes a shovel at it. Fighters are ripped off the streets mid-brawl. Little Mac’s hoodie flies into the rift. Min Min activates her dragon arm. Olimar is holding on to a string of Pikmin. Shulk tries to hold himself down with Monado, tearing up the ground. A R.O.B. toy mysteriously vanishes from a shelf. Steve attempts to escape using Elytra and Fireworks. Spyro struggles to fly away as Stealth Elf tries warping away to no avail. The rift reaches into many more worlds, even. Tetris, Paper Mario, Zork, etc. Suddenly, all the multiverse’s heroes are gone.
Also missing is one thirteen year old boy with a big imagination and a bigger video game collection.
