New flashing when placing damage counters - seizure warning

New flashes have been introduced when placing damage counters where every target you've placed counters on with flash bright red regardless of whether it is the current target of the counters.
If I place 10 damage on each pokemon in play, as I move from one to the next, they all start flashing bright red. By the end all 6 could be flashing multiple times.
Why devs?
