OK, I said it wrong, sorry
After Paxton agrees to pay, it'll like:
"Oh, yeah," Taunie exclaims suddenly. She teaches down and grabs the white bag. Paxton raises an eyebrow, intrigued.
Taunie hands him the bag, which he takes carefully. Paxton opens it, his eyes widening with surprise as he takes out the petal. "Is this-" he asks, not finishing.
Taunie nods, humming a yes. "It is one of Eternal Floete's flower petals. I figured it would be a reminder of what we did that day."
Paxton looks up at her with a small smile, his eyes shimmering with appreciation. "Thank you."
Taunie smile back. "You're welcome!"
So I'm gonna be honest
Not completely sure why the petal would mean much
However, I tried to make it work
What do you think?

Only One Last Color In Our Rainbow
The driver pulls up to the restaurant, stopping the car in front of the door. "Here we are! Restaurant Le Wow! Enjoy y'all's night," he says, looking back at them with a smile.
"Thanks! You too," Paxton replies, Taunie humming in agreement.
Paxton gets out the car and stands there, staring at Taunie, who still hasn't moved. She stares back at him expectantly. After a few seconds, Paxton asks: "Are you coming?"
"What," Taunie asks, realizing he's waiting for her. "Oh, yeah! O-Of coarse," she chuckles, getting out of the car. She doesn't say anything, but she's confused on why Paxton didn't help her out. She shrugs it off, thinking he be sure to do it with the door.
Paxton enters the place first. He opens the door, Taunie close behind. He doesn't realize that, though, and let's go. The door swings shut, hitting Taunie in the face. She yelps as it makes contact.
"I'm so sorry," Paxton exclaims, grabbing her shoulder and examining her face. "Are you okay?"
Taunie laugh, exiting his grip. "I'm fine, I'm fine," she responds, continuing to laugh.
"Okay, good," Paxton say with a sigh. After he turns around, though, Taunie frowns. She was sure he was going to hold it open. That's what Jacinthe said he would do. Is he trying to be rude?
They go up to the host. "We have a reservation," Paxton says.
"Name," the man asks.
"Paxton," he responds.
The host goes through his list, humming with satisfaction. "Yes. Right here." He points at one of the tables. "That table there is yours."
"Thank you," Paxton says as him and Taunie go to the assigned place. As they approach the table, Taunie stops in front of here seat, thinking Paxton will pull it out. However, Paxton immediately pulls out his own chair and looks up at Taunie. She realizes that he isn't going to do it and sits down. Paxton watches her closely, knowing something is wrong but can't tell what. He's about to ask, but a waitress comes up.
"May I take y'all's order," she asks, pen and paper ready.
"I'll have tonight's special," Paxton tells her. The two of them then look at Taunie, waiting for her to order. She looks back at Paxton, confused on why he hasn't picked her meal yet.
"Why aren't you ordering," Paxton asks.Taunie's eyes widen with surprise. "I've been waiting for you to," she responds.
"I already did," he says, confused.
"No, for me," she clarifies.
Paxton's eyebrows furrow with confusion. "Why would I do that?"
"I don't know! It's expected," Taunie exclaims.
"Who said that," Paxton questions.
"Jacinthe," Taunie replies. Paxton continues to look at her with confusion and she sighs. "So there was no party. When I got there, she told me she tricked me and wanted to give me dating advice. She told me the male does everything. Get me out the car, open the door, make the order, etc," she explains.
"I was going to do the first two things, but Grisham and Griselle told me not to," Paxton tells Taunie, who's now the confused one.
"You talked them about tonight," she asks, and Paxton laughs, shaking his head.
"No. Not by choice, anyways. They sat me down and talked me about it," he says. "They told me not to really do anything for you because it will make you think I think you're dependent on me."
Taunie shakes her. "That's not what I would have thought," she exclaims.
Paxton nods. "Didn't think so. But they're the one with relationship experience, so I took their word for it."
Taunie chuckles. "Yeah, I get that. That's why I listened to Jacinthe." She sighs. "Alright, how about this. From now on, we'll figure our relationship out on our own. We'll decide what we should do for or expect from one another." Taunie raises her fist. "Yeah?"
Paxton smiles and taps his fist against hers. "Yeah."
"Great. Now I hope you brought money because I was told you're paying," Taunie says, picking up the menu.
Paxton laughs. "Not what I planned, but I can do that."

i was thinking about adding more back and forth @Hades0918 but I like the flow of your story already. Also wanted to add flourish at the end but it could have been trite.
