Started a Pokemon Scarlet/Violet Soul-link

it is staggeringly difficult, especially with a total stat base of no more then 500 and only 1 battle capable pokemon
it takes time…patience…and lots of planning, many have tried…and only a handful have succeeded

have you ever tried?

I think there’s no required rules it’s just adding extra rules for the purpose of making the game harder

I did
Was in Firered
Unfortunately…my pokemon got hit with a critical hit at nugget bridge, forcing me to use my 1 revive…and then I lost at Victory road
Was using a Slowbro as my main…losing at victory road is crushing

Kaizo-Ironman on Scarlet/Violet would be an interesting challenge but you have the issue of a Double Battle against Ryme + Gym Trainers before her battle. Not to mention you'll have to farm materials for TM's and/or Evolution items(ex: Sinistea Chips). I'd permit grinding against Wild Pokémon using Secondary Pokémon for that purpose alone(primary Pokémon would be in the box). I'd also permit Terastalization but only once since you cannot recharge the orb via Pokémon Centers.
Pokémon that comes to mind for the challenge would be Quaxly. Hurdles would be Brassius, Iono, Tulip, Larry(E4 specifically with Flying types) and bulk of Team Star(Atticus + Ortega specifically). For Titans, only the last one will pose much of an issue. Only Pokémon that would pose an issue on Clavel is the Gyarados and the Grass Starter if you can't outspeed it.

so update time
My team mate and I got some progress, but not without some…issues
First and foremost, I told my friend to not run off on me so we could prepare and get ready for whatever was next. Low and behold he triggers the introduction fight to Penny and Team Star
I reminded him that we only have our starters
Thankfully we had the option to back out of the fight so we could train a bit, after which we rechallenge the fight and had no issues as well as getting our terra orbs
Now regarding terrastillazation, we're allowed to do it, but terra raids are off limits. We're playing like terra raids don't exist
Anyways, after some grinding, doing some school stuff, we were ready for our next zone encounter…and what does my buddy do?
"Hey Zero, what's Kitakami?"
"why?"
"I think I'm lost…"
yep, he found his way into the DLCs…somehow
So…we're figuring things out, in the mean time I was able to catch a buizel for my new zone catch…that hopefully won't get obliterated by the soul-link rules

Wish you luck on that soul-link. Am reminded of a Black2/White2 one with Vulpixie where her starter just happened to be her favorite Pokémon in Vulpix but nearly failed if it wasn’t for Alpharad helping her out. Speaking of DLC, I may pick up a Switch 2 this Friday and finally get Gen 9(leaning towards the Z-A bundle so I’ll have that too). While I do like the Paldea starters, I am heavily inclined to try a run with my favorite Pokémon in Alolan Vulpix. I’d just need someone willing to breed one, ideally with its Hidden Ability, and trade it over for w/e. Otherwise I’d have to wait until the Indigo Disk post-game on Scarlet or beg if I opt to get Violet. Granted it’s rather late to get started when the estimated announcement of Gen 10 is slated for February.

Well, actually…
I have Let's Go Pikachu
I can use Home, transport it to Sword, get Alolan Vulpix, use Ability Patch/Capsul (I don't remember which one changes it to hidden), put it in Violet (if it allows me), and trade with you
Sounds like a lot but it won't take long
Also, don't worry about what you trade me for it
Just give me anything and I'll give you the Alolan Vulpix
