No. It made me lose that shiny, so all it deserves is an insult for a name and being alone with only a Lv. 5 Squirtle in a box.

The one I caught wasn't the shiny, it was a normal one that flew in front of my Poké Ball when I was trying to catch the shiny, resulting in me not getting it.

Encountered a shiny tentacool with the sync thing on Scarlet dlc and I knocked it out, only to realize like 2 minutes later 😭

I've been thinking about this for a couple days now, but you happened to remind me of one of mine. I actually also encountered a Shiny Tentacool while using the Synchro Machine, and so I stopped syncing so I could catch it, but it was too far away and despawned before I got there. I've found two Shiny Tentacruel since, but not a single other Tentacool.
But I think what was worse was that one time in Legends: Arceus where, during a Mass Outbreak, I found two Shiny Bidoof, but one of them ran away. I reloaded my save, because in Legends Arceus, the number of Shiny Pokémon in an outbreak is determined before you encounter any of them, meaning if you find multiple Shinies in an outbreak, they'll still spawn if you reload your save. Anyway, it turned out that one of them wasn't from the outbreak, and instead happened to spawn nearby. I did get the other one back, fortunately.1
