I found a shiny Pidgey while running around in Z-A and failed to catch it. I also found a shiny Trubbish I caught near the area where I was hunting for Fennekin, but I think it was too far away for it to have been a result of my shiny hunting there.

You could have saved your master ball. Or mabey your like me who used it on Zacain.

I didnt even try to battle it I just used it.

Also, I caught a different Pidgey when I tried to throw a Poké Ball moments before it despawned. I still have it in my boxes, but it's all alone in its own box, along with a Squirtle I got from Mable.
