About the creation of Sirfetch'd

As I said on a comment from my very first thread, Sirfetch'd's design has nothing to do with a certain scrapped evolution.

Here's what Shigeru Ohmori has stated about it

On Sirfetch'd in particular, it seems like it's based on an old evolution for Farfetch'd that was in the Gold and Silver demo that was uncovered - is it based on a cancelled design that never made it into a final game?

SO: [Laughs] It's a completely new design. Really when we're looking at the UK as a region, we thought this kind of evolution, with it holding its leek like a sword and having a kind of shield design, really fit with this new region we were designing. So yeah, it's a new design.

In case if anyone is curious, this is the cancelled design in question. Its name is Madaamu.

So, what are your opinions on Sirfetch'd?

Do you think the Kantonian version of Farfecth'd is long overdue to evolve at this point?

Kanto Farfetch'd is a cool mon, I think it should evolve.

The Kantoian Farfetch'd doesn't need an evolution. Besides, who would care about a Farfetch'd evolution now? I mean, it's a Pokémon from Generation 1, which hasn't played a crucial role for anything.
