Is there's some similarity design wise between Elfilin from Kirby and this scrapped Pokémon??

Anytime I look at these two, I just can't help it.

The creature above is from a prototype of Pokémon Gold and Silver back in early 1997.

    I see the resemblance, although it's probably just coincidental. Mouse that flies with large ears isn't that unique of a concept, and Elfilin has arms while the beta Pokémon has the neck orb and polka dots.

    I see the resemblance, but Elfilin is just so much cuter. Anything without arms is kinda bound to be creepy, unless it's a bird. (In which case it has wings)
