How do I get more special coaches in the DLC?
I only have the gym leaders. I tried inviting every one of them but it didn't unlock anything new and the BP contribution thing doesn't have an "unlock new coaches" thing.

You need to invite each one three times and trade apparently. They already cost so much to invite.

Okay so I've finally found things that say how.
You're supposed to invite a character not once, but three times and trade to unlock new ones. Why GameFreak. So much BP I could spend on making the club room cool or making Fennekin appear in the Terrarium, but I have to invite even characters I don't care about THREE TIMES so I can unlock ones I actually like? Really? That's 600BP per character. 4800BP to max out the Gym Leaders.

Also, if you want to invite a teacher you need to complete their class first.
And the BB Elite four can trade too. Also, I'm not sure how often or if there's a pattern, but the members in the club room do change sometimes. I don't know if characters other than the E4 can appear.

You need to finish the short stories with the teachers around the academy too if you want to invite them.
Also, you only need to trade around three times to unlock the teachers I think.
Anyway sorry for posting so much here but maybe I helped a few people. I hope.

Here's the list of available characters so far I think:
Gym Leaders (8)
Rika and Poppy
Teachers (including nurse Miriam) and Clavell (9)
Geeta
?
?
?
BB League (Crispin, Amarys, Lacey, and Drayton)

Also it seems trading with two gym leaders unlocks Rika and Poppy. Not completely sure though.
And the last three are probably Nemona, Arven, and Penny. It doesn't seem like you can unlock them yet, from what I've heard.

So, as there's actually info now instead of 2 videos and my own experience; I'll update this and fit all of it into one comment.
Gym Leaders are available immediately.
To invite the Teachers need you to complete their story/quest at the academy and traded with 3 characters.
To invite Rika and Poppy you need to have traded with 5 characters.
To invite Geeta you need to have traded with 8 characters.
And to unlock the secret boss you need to have traded with 10 characters.
The last three are Nemona, Arven, and Penny (idk in what order). They unlock after the epilogue I think.
And I've heard some people say that Carmine and Kieran can be battled and traded with like the BB Elite Four after the epilogue.
(the BB Elite Four count if you trade with them btw, also only 3 of them can be found in the club room each day.)
What characters you trade with don't matter.
