Sometimes I like to get lost in the Pokemon games

What I mean is sometimes I like to just stop and get lost in the scenery of the games, does anyone else do that?

It's even better when the music is great and matches the feeling.

This is practically what I do for the whole game. No thoughts, just explore.

For all of my criticisms of the 3D games (which are myriad, trust me) they do have some beautiful environments. XY and SwSh particularly, ignoring the Wild Area.

Unfortunately despite the open world ostensibly being the ideal setting in which one could lose themselves, the world of Scarlet and Violet feels very bland and empty. There was too much ground to cover, so all the interesting elements were spread too thin.

The poor optimisation, ugly textures and glitches do not help either.

@TheJeffers I actually like the environments of Scarlet and Violet

@Mechxel That's fine. I am glad they work for you.

For me, too many areas look completely barren. There is little to see beyond tufts of grass and outcroppings of rocks. The textures often look low resolution and bland and the Pokémon are rarely doing much beyond standing around in an empty space.

The towns don't fare much better. Most have the same architecture and the buildings are not spaces you can actually enter. At least the framerate of people and Pokémon in towns in the base game seem a little better following the patch. Fewer slideshows stuttering around.

Yeah, sometimes getting lost stresses me, but when I've already beat the game and just exploring, it's kinda of nice to get lost and just chill.
