Game timeout glitch.

Just played a game where my opponent on their first turn just sat there not doing anything but the game didn’t timeout for them. Got down to 18 minutes when I decided to Google the issue and then of course that meant when I went back in the game didn’t remember my cache and reloaded the game.

I saw that this was an issue sometime ago but it looks like it’s back and I got punished in ranked for it.

This bug is the result ofthe fact that the game is bad at detecting disconnects. Unfortunately, you're the one who DC'd which is why it was recorded as a loss for you. You did legitimately lose. There's nothing you can do about it, but make sure you close your client if your oponnent is ever idle for more than 45 seconds. It's already over by then, so don't waste your time.

Thanks for clearing that up. Seems like a pretty simple UI fix from an in game perspective in terms of letting the opponent know a DC has occured, or just putting in an auto win end game feature. Alternatively they could give players a 30 second window to reconnect - that would mean redesigning the whole login of the game so that it doesn't take an age haha.

The bummer is I didn't even disconnect. I've since learnt that the game struggles to interact with the pull down menus or pull down reply feature of my iPhone. Not sure if it's a really buggy cache issue or something but I've noticed the game will disconnect even it is something simple like pulling a notification down to silence a chat, or just leaving screen for a moment to put my phone on Do Not Disturb.

I've never played another game with so many connection/UI etc. issues.
