Glitch

I was testing a Kingambit/Inteleon deck when i came across an error/glitch. Oricorios "Lesson in Zeal" reads "All of your Fusion Strike Pokémon take 20 less damage from attacks from your opponent's Pokémon (after applying Weakness and Resistance). You can't apply more than 1 Lesson in Zeal Ability at a time." and when i used quick shooting to put 20 damage onto a Mew VMAX with an ability (not stated in "Lesson in Zeal") the 20 damage put onto Mew VMAX was healed when it should not of been.

Did the Mew VMAX have a Fusion Strike Energy attached? Fusion Strike Energy's card text states:

"Prevent all effects of your opponent’s Pokémon’s Abilities done to the Pokémon this card is attached to."

As Inteleon's Quick Shooting says it places damage counters, rather than dealing direct damage, the damage counter placement is considered an effect of its ability, and therefore would get blocked by the Fusion Strike Energy

I would also like to point out that the deck i was testing was against AI, in standard format, and somehow it was able to use Aroura Energy and Evolution Incense (Both went to expanded in the scarlet-violet rotation)
