Bug with avery

Hello, I noticed that when avery was used in a game previously, it was counting down on the opponents time rather than my own time. This continued until the end of the turn.

Just encountered what I believe is the same error, my opponent played Avery, I discarded a Pokémon and my counter continued to run down without me being able to do anything. Not even an auto-select/skip after some time like in other situations.
How can such an severe and easy to abuse bug that has been reported almost a year ago not be fixed for the main release?
