Terastallization Missed Opportunities

Y'know, for a game mechanic that's been advertised as being able to change a Pokemon's type, NPCs don't ever really use Terastallization to that end in-game. Which is kind of a shame, because I can imagine several ways Terastallization could have been used like this to make the game more interesting:

• Gym Leaders Terastallizing their ace to a type that tackles their specialty type's weaknesses.
• Nemona owning the starter weak to yours, but then Terastallizing it to the type strong against you late game (e.g. Skeledirge becomes Grass type).
• Team Star members each owning a normal Revavroom in their postgame battles, which they Terastallize to their specialty type.
