5 second battle timer bug

During my first game today (going second if that matters somehow), during my turn I have only 5 seconds before the game counts it as a slow play and makes an automatic action. For example, while looking for a cram-o-matic target after flipping heads to search my deck, I ran out of time and the game automatically picked a Genesect V instead of the Battle VIP Pass like I wanted (I was playing Mew VMAX). If anyone else has had this problem I'd love to know why or if it is a known issue that will be addressed in the maintenance scheduled for 7 and a half hours from now.
