    oh i have a short story >:)

"Yveltal!" The fossil Pokemon cried, swiping away the leaves with his scythe-like forearms, "I've found it!"

A dark, Y-shaped figure appeared in the sky.

"The Tree of Life?" A voice eminating from the ominous shape spoke.

    "Yes! The tree!"

The figure, Yveltal, descended. It was mighty, two great yet unnatural wings covered in scarlet feathers and black veins spread wide, ending in five terrible claws that could reap the soul from one's body. Its tail was similarly shaped to its wings, and was being used like a third limb, assisting the Destruction Pokemon in anchoring itself to the muddy ground.

"This is where I'll save Yamask..." Kabutops sniffled, hiding his semicircular head in the crook of his streamlined arm, as if he were ashamed to let his master see his tears.

"Yes," Yveltal assured, though seemingly disinterested, "This is where we will save your friend from his torment."

Yveltal noticed Kabutops' upset but, instead of comforting him, took the time to bask in the great tree's glorious aura, to soak in the sight of the radiant leaves, to fantasise about- no, one shouldn't lose themselves in thought. Yveltal shook its pointed head, dirt shedding from its ruff, and began to crawl towards the tree's base. Yveltal was powerful, yes, but unfit for grounded travel.

Kabutops had already began sprinting towards the tree, fueled by his desperation.

Suddenly, a Light Screen barrier stopped him in his path.

"Halt!" A commanding, femenine voice shouted.

"Who is it?" Kabutops loudly complained, hopelessly swiping at the Light Screen with his scythes. Yveltal had stopped crawling, figuring that watching its protégé's struggle would be amusing.

"I am Gothitelle," The voice said, revealing itself to belong to a tall, dark, humanoid Pokemon, "and I am the appointed guardian of the Tree of Life. I foresaw your apocolyptic arrival."

Kabutops seemed to calm down momentarily, and, judging the book by its delicate cover, assumed he could plead to be let through.

"I see. Gothitelle, if you would mind to let me through, I have come here to save my good friend, Yamask, from death."

"I am no fool," Gothitelle replied calmly, "Your arrival signals disaster!"

    "B-but- but Yamask! Please, madam!"

"Silence, leave, or face my fury!"

Kabutops looked back at Yveltal for encouragement, but recieved none. Despite this, he was too confident for his own good. He nodded.

"Then I'll face your fury, defeat you, and save Yamask."

    That's awesome… 10/10! (Changed my mind, multi-comment stories are cool) 😁
